These Terms & Conditions govern all services provided by Melanie Edwards Co., LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By engaging our services, submitting payment, or using any digital product, you agree to the following terms.

 

1. Engagement & Authorization
You (“the Client”) are engaging Melanie Edwards Co., LLC as an independent contractor to provide digital design, restructuring, and consulting services.

For website projects, this may include access to your Wix account or authorization to build on your behalf. We are not affiliated with Wix and do not control platform performance or functionality.

 

2. Scope of Work
Project scope is defined in your proposal or invoice and may include:
• Website design and restructuring  
• Content organization and alignment  
• Visual and UX refinement  
• Digital system structure  

Any work outside the agreed scope requires a revised quote and may incur additional charges.

 

3. Timeline & Communication
Projects typically complete within 2–4 weeks once all required assets are received.

You agree to:
• Provide content and materials in a timely manner  
• Respond to feedback and approvals promptly  

Projects inactive for 60+ days may incur a $185 restart fee.

 

4. Revisions
Unless otherwise stated:
• One major structural/design revision is included  
• Minor edits are included within a defined revision window  

Additional revisions or scope changes may be billed at $125/hour.

 

5. Payment Terms
• Projects are either paid in full upfront OR  
• Split into agreed milestone payments  

 

Final payment is due upon project completion or within 30 days (whichever comes first).

 

Late payments may incur:
• $100 late fee  
• 1.5% monthly interest on outstanding balances  

 

6. Accepted Payment Methods
• Credit/Debit Card  
• ACH Bank Transfer  
• Third-party payment providers (where available)  

 

7. What’s Not Included
Unless explicitly stated:
• Wix Premium plans or domain purchases  
• Advanced SEO strategy or copywriting  
• Full-service content writing  
• Custom coding or Velo development  

 

8. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
• Providing content you have rights to use  
• Reviewing and approving all content (including AI-assisted content)  
• Ensuring your business policies (privacy, terms, etc.) are accurate  

 

9. Cancellations & Refunds
• Full refund if no work has begun  
• Partial refund based on completed work  
• No refunds once design or revision work has started  

Digital products are non-refundable once delivered.

 

10. Ownership & Usage
Once paid in full:
• You own the final website and approved content  
• Melanie Edwards Co. retains the right to showcase work in portfolio  

Digital products are licensed, not sold, and may not be redistributed.

 

11. Limitation of Liability
All services are provided “as is.” We are not responsible for:
• Platform outages  
• Third-party failures  
• Client-provided content errors  

 

12. Legal & Dispute Resolution
All disputes are governed by Florida law and resolved through arbitration in Florida.

 

13. Digital Products & Licensing
Digital products are for personal or internal business use only.

 

You may:
• Customize for your own business  
• Use for one client project  

 

You may not:
• Resell or redistribute  
• Claim as your own intellectual property  

 

All digital products remain the property of Melanie Edwards Co., LLC.
