The approved project scope is outlined in the proposal, estimate, or invoice.
If additional needs are identified during the project, I will explain what has changed and whether the request affects scope, timeline, or pricing before proceeding.
Additional work may include:

Pages or sections not included in the original scope

Strategic consulting, restructuring, or planning beyond the approved scope
-
Additional revision rounds beyond what is included
-
Content organization or preparation not included in the original agreement
-
Technical or structural requirements that were not visible or known at the time of quoting
Any work outside the approved scope requires client approval before it is added to the project.

Additional work is billed at $125 USD/hour unless otherwise stated.
Hourly work may include updates, refinements, troubleshooting, additional design, content organization, functionality setup, consulting, or other services outside the approved project scope.
Any additional work will be communicated before proceeding.

Timelines are estimates and may be affected by:
-
Delayed content or asset delivery
-
Delayed feedback or approvals
-
Scope changes
-
Third-party platform limitations
-
Client-requested pauses
-
Changes in project complexity
If a project remains inactive for more than 60 days due to missing content, communication, approvals, access, or other client delays, a $185 USD restart fee may be required before work resumes.
Restarted projects may also be rescheduled based on current project availability.
Content, Accuracy & Permissions
The client is responsible for reviewing and approving all final website content before launch.
The client is also responsible for ensuring that any submitted content, images, logos, trademarks, claims, testimonials, data, or other materials are accurate and legally permitted for use.
When I assist with content organization, editing, drafting, or AI-assisted content development, the client remains responsible for final factual accuracy, approval, and use.
Technical & Platform Limitations
Websites are designed and tested for modern desktop, tablet, and mobile use.
Minor differences in appearance or functionality may occur across browsers, operating systems, screen sizes, devices, third-party apps, or future platform updates.
Melanie Edwards Co., LLC is not responsible for outages, feature changes, deprecated functionality, third-party software changes, or platform issues outside its control.
Project Completion
A project is considered complete when the agreed scope has been fulfilled and final revisions included within that scope have been addressed.
Project completion does not depend on the client choosing to publish or launch the website immediately.
Final website transfer, handoff, or release of deliverables may be withheld until all outstanding balances are paid in full.
The client is responsible for final review and approval before launch or acceptance.
